My New Project(s)

Happy NYE. I’m currently down in Charleston and I cannot recommend the food here enough, oh and the city itself.

Onto today’s topic. I’ve spent a lot of my career as a Product Manager, I believe this profession is going to change and PM’s will become more like junior engineers who build out prototypes with the help of AI (I’ve already done this).

So with that, I am going to start to build a lot of side projects this year. Websites, apps, etc. Today, we will talk about my first project.

Starting with Personal Wealth Management

I have always had a desire to build for consumers in the stock market and wealth management space. There is still so much opportunity and many problems that people have not solved yet.

With that, I have a lot of ideas, but none of them are really the best one to start with. I needed something that could build a base of users, deliver value, and become a sharable possibly viral product.

So, my friend and I decided to start a monthly newsletter. With our expertise in the market (ex-trader & years studying the financial markets), we wanted to create a truly personalized wealth management experience just through a simple monthly Memo (get the name now?).

Problem: We believed that most adults below 28 do not need a full time wealth manager or financial advisor. We also believed that most people in this age group don’t have time to develop a full understanding of how current market and economic conditions affect their money. They also don’t have time to keep on top of new money and investment trends.

Solution: First, we will learn a little bit about you and your goals. Things like you age, where you live, income bracket, etc. From their we will send you a personalized Memo each month explaining the market and economy in terms that you can understand. We will also highlight how the current conditions affect your money now and going forward. If you are looking to buy a house, we will be highlighting the housing economy for you, if you are just looking to start investing, we will highlight the best strategies for you. Of course, none of this will be official investment advice.
